Fine Arts

Extracurricular fine arts opportunities supplement curricular activities and offer students the chance to extend their fine arts experiences beyond the school day.

Drama

Each school year, RCLS Theater produces two student shows. The drama program at RCLS provides opportunities for students to participate in several different facets of theater production. Students try out for acting roles, or they may also help by running sound and lights, doing hair and make-up, or serving as a student director. The fall play is usually performed in early November; grades 4-8 may participate in this play. The spring musical is usually performed in March, and is open to grades K-8 for participation. These performances are directed by Miss Kim Schauer and Mr. Dan Kuball.

Music

Music is a key component of the curriculum at RCLS, but there are also extracurricular  music options for students in grades 6-8. In addition to the curricular courses and performance groups, students may elect to participate in one of the following extracurricular music performance groups:

  • Jazz Band
  • Pop Choir

For more information on co-curricular performance options, see the "Music" menu under the Academics tab
