RCLS's popular Early Childhood Development Center occupies several classrooms in the primary wing of the school. Shaped by RCLS's core values, the ECDC is Grounded in Grace, Formed in Faith, and Committed to Learning for Life. A secure, nurturing environment; flexible scheduling with before and after-school care; and a Christ-centered, play-based learning program make RCLS's Preschool (3-4 years) and Prekindergarten (4-5 years) an extraordinary first school experience.

Readiness Training

The preschool and prekindergarten years are a time when a child’s brain is developing rapidly. These formative years present an opportunity for shaping skills that will support children in later stages of learning. In RCLS’s ECDC, children practice:

  • Curiosity
  • Cooperation
  • Listening
  • Self-control

RCLS’s preschool and prekindergarten programs offer sessions in both the morning and afternoon. At the time of registration, parents may choose days and times that fit their family’s needs. Children may attend as few as two mornings/week for preschool (age 3) or three mornings/week for prekindergarten (age 4-5) and as many as five full days a week.

Attendance options include:

Early Care: 6:30-7:40

Morning Session: 7:40-11:00 AM

Lunch/Recess: 11:00AM-Noon

Afternoon Enrichment: Noon-2:40 PM

Extended Day Care: 2:40-6:00 PM

Non-school Day Care: 6:30AM-6:00PM
