Welcome to RCLS or Rochester Central Lutheran School! Please explore our website so that you can become familiar with our ministry and educational program. RCLS offers programs for students three years of age through eighth grade. We also offer a safe and positive child care program from 6:30-7:45 AM and 3-6 PM, Monday through Friday, for children three years through fifth grade.

We are located on the corner of 9th Avenue and Eltons Hills at 2619 9th Avenue NW, Rochester, Minnesota, in the Elton Hills neighborhood.

Students need not be Lutheran or Christian to attend our school. In fact, our students represent nearly forty different Christian churches from across the greater Rochester area; however, our ministry and teachings are based upon Scripture and align with the doctrine of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. We strive to be a Christ-centered school according to God’s command in Mathew 28:19-20:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age.”We are owned and operated by four association LCMS churches:

• Family of Christ Lutheran Church (Meets at Gibbs Elementary in
NW Rochester/Pastor’s office at RCLS)

• Grace Lutheran Church (Near Silver Lake, Rochester)
800 E. Silver Lake Road
Rochester, MN 55901

• Holy Cross Lutheran Church (Adjacent to RCLS Campus)
2703 Ninth Ave. NW
Rochester, MN 55901

• Trinity Lutheran Church (Downtown Rochester)
222 Sixth Ave. SW
Rochester, MN 55902

Our mission is “preparing for tomorrow with a Christ-centered education today.” Our primary purpose is to share the good news of Jesus Christ and His love through a quality Christian education program. Simply, RCLS is more than just a school. We are partners with parents in faith and in education. We are a faith family. We work together for the sake of equipping our children with skills, knowledge and God’s Word so as to be successful in life and to become the people God has called them to be.
