I have lived in Rochester since 2003 when I began teaching at RCLS.  I am currently in my 5th year of teaching.  I graduated from Concordia University- River Forest, IL with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with a focus in Biology.  My family includes my wife, Emilie who teaches 5th grade at RCLS and our daughter Sophia, born in August of 2007. 

I currently teach 7th, and 8th grade Science as well as 7th grade Religion and Physical Education.  My Science classes learn to appreciate and understand the purpose for living and non-living things around us as we learn about God’s wonderful creation.  Some activities that we do throughout the year include labs, field trips, and a Science Fair.  In the summer of 2008, we will be taking 7th and 8th graders to Key Largo, Florida for a Biology Summer Camp.

My favorite Bible verse is from Ephesians 2:8-9: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.”
