I was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Besides Rochester, I have also lived in
Sherman, Texas, and San Jose, California. My family consists of my husband Jeff, my
daughter Mackenzie (15) and my son Tyler (14). I attended Western Michigan
University and Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma where I
received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Previous to teaching at RCLS,
I was the Assistant Director at Kid’s Come First and I taught 4th Grade in San Jose,
California. At RCLS, I have taught 3rd, 5th, and 4th grades. This is my 13th year of
teaching. I have also coached volleyball and worked on the Summer School
Programming. I love to watch the joy of discovery in the students, and to help inspire
them to use their gifts to glorify God. I love to see the smiles they bring each day and
their creativity, senses of humor and their willingness to learn.
My favorite Bible verse: For God so loved the world, that he gave His one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
