“I will LEAD the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth.”
Isaiah 42:16
SUBJECT CONNECTIONS: Here’s how we’re preparing your children for tomorrow with a Christ-centered education today…
Religion –We celebrate Christmas in many ways this week! After Christmas, we look at a some of the first people to worship the new Messiah…Simeon and Hannah!
Language –We’re doing a lot of Christmas-related activities this week. We’ll especially take a look at some Christmas legends…and have a little fun along with them! After our break, we’ll be working on interviews, using a phonebook, comparing Spanish to English, and expanding our use of nouns!
Math – We are rolling right back into addition and subtraction this week, while we get into actual regrouping after Christmas!
Physical Education – Our parachute unit continues this week. There are a lot of awesome games to play with a parachute. (I know, I know…I don’t usually use the words “games” and “parachute” in the same sentence either!)
Science – A lot more solar system stuff comes up over the next two weeks. We’ll be looking at the moon some more, doing fun stuff with constellations, getting burned by the sun, and researching planets!
Computers – Our state research continues this week, and we’ll be aiming for one or two final creative activities with Kid Pix in the new year!
Social Studies – We will learn learn more about the first Americans! Then, after break, we look at the different tribes around the U.S.
Health – Water is a brain food! Also, we’ll look at shopping for healthy food!
