RCLS’s Early Childhood Development Center

RCLS’s Early Childhood Development Center is a school within a school. Preschool classes are offered for children who turn 3 before September 1st, and prekindergarten classes are offered for children who turn 4 before September 1.

Readiness training

The preschool and prekindergarten years are a time when a child’s brain is developing rapidly. These formative years present an opportunity for shaping skills that will support children in later stages of learning. In RCLS’s ECDC, children practice:

  • Curiosity
  • Cooperation
  • Listening
  • Self-control

RCLS’s ECDC preschool and prekindergarten programs offer sessions in both the morning and afternoon. At the time of registration, parents may choose days and times that fit their family’s needs. Children may register for as few as two mornings/week for preschool or three mornings/week for prekindergarten and as many as five full days a week. Also, the Early Childhood Development Center features an extended-day program from 2:40 PM-6:00 PM and/or for lunch from 11:00 AM-Noon.

A safe, nurturing environment and a Christ-centered curriculum enable students to develop self-confidence and to acquire classroom behaviors that will facilitate kindergarten readiness.
